TAG’s Model California Compliance Package

TAG has you covered

!

TAG makes it easy for your company to comply with the new California Workplace Violence Prevention requirements before the July 1, 2024, deadline.

California Senate Bill No. 553 (“SB 553”), which Governor Gavin Newsom signed into law on September 20, 2023, requires employers with one or more California locations to take specific steps to prevent and respond to workplace violence, including a lengthy list of requirements for a workplace violence prevention plan, training, record keeping, and record retention.

The new law is the first in the nation to require workplace violence prevention plans and training outside healthcare. It applies to all employers who have 10 or more employees at any California location and has a July 1st deadline for compliance.

TAG has you covered!

TAG’s Model California Compliance Package includes:

• TAG’s Model Workplace Violence Prevention Plan
• Violent Incident Log
• Workplace Violence Hazards Log
• Workplace Violence Prevention Training e-learning lesson

TAG’s e-learning lesson can be completed in 15-16 minutes and includes everything required by California as well as TAG’s proprietary features that go beyond the California requirements to actually help improve employee safety.  The lesson can be hosted on TAG’s website or your company’s LMS, and you’ll be able to verify that all employees have completed the training annually, as required.

And if your company is ready for a state-of-the-art, enterprise-wide workplace violence prevention program, we invite you to learn more about the TAG360 program, the 2024 version of which already includes the new elements required for California compliance and much, much more.

As always, TAG also offers policy consultation and TAG’s Model Workplace Violence policy, exceeding the requirements of the new California law.
