TAG Expert Spotlight: Women’s History Month - March 2026
As Women's History Month comes to an end, TAG is spotlighting its upcoming Virtual Advanced Training in Workplace Violence Prevention, taking place April 20-24, 2026, and the two women who will be leading it.
Women account for more than 72% of nonfatal workplace violence victims in the U.S. That means workplace violence prevention is, at its core, a women's issue — and the professionals leading that effort should reflect as much. At TAG, they do.
This April, attendees will learn directly from two of the most accomplished women in the field:
Leeanne Whitwell has been with TAG since 2016. As a former U.S. Capitol Police Special Agent, Ms. Whitwell has conducted over 1,000 threat assessments targeting Members of Congress, assisted in the investigation of the 2013 Washington Navy Yard shooting, and received personal commendations from the U.S. Attorney's Office and FBI Director James Comey. Dr. Erin Nelson has been with TAG since 2011. She serves as TAG's Director of School Training and was Research Director of the Columbine Psychiatric Autopsy Project, holds faculty appointments at the TCU/UNT Health Sciences Center School of Medicine and the University of Arizona College of Medicine Phoenix, and she also consults with the Phoenix Police Department. Attendees who complete the virtual training earn TAG's 2-year certification. Early registration and group discounts are available. To learn more or register, click here
