Dr. Park Dietz Interviews the I-5 Strangler

Roger Kibbe, whom the press dubbed “the I-5 Strangler,” abducted, raped, and killed a series of women along Interstate 5 in Northern California, starting in 1977.

Under the terms of a plea agreement in which he was spared the death penalty, Kibbe agreed to speak to detectives and to forensic psychiatrist Park Dietz, M.D., Ph.D., and to show them where he had hidden the remains of one of his victims whose body had never been recovered.

With Kibbe’s consent, Dr. Dietz joined documentary film maker Tom Jennings in producing a television show based on these interviews and the search for the remains.

The show is scheduled to premier on MSNBC at 9:00 p.m. Eastern and 6:00 p.m. Pacific on Sunday, November 18, 2012. Check local listings under the misleading name “Profiling Evil” (though the show has nothing to do with profiling, and Kibbe acted of his own volition and without evidence of demonic influence).
